"The Imperator" Vacheron & Constantin, Geneve, No. 365634, case No. 224325. Made in 1912. Very fine and rare, large, hunting-cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch.
C. Four-body, "bassine", solid, frosted, the front cover with a finely engraved foliate monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with bold-painted Paris numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds dial. Gold ?spade" hands. M. Cal. RA 20??, frosted gilt, 18 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 57 mm.
