Corps of Engineers USA Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, case No. 234906. Made for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1918. Fine and interesting silver keyless pocket watch with chronograph.
C. Four-body, "bassine", polished, hinged silver cuvette. D. White enamel with bold upright luminescent Arabic numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel luminescent skeleton hands. M. Cal. R.A., 19??? 73 Chrono, frosted gilt brass, 20 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometrer regulator, chronograph with visible work, the button on the winding crown. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 52 mm.
