After the Battle - Medical Chronograph Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, "Chronomètre", movement No. 359363, case No. 226654, scene by Germain Pochon & Fils, Geneva. Made in 1913 for the 50th anniversary of the ?Red Cross?. Sold in Argentina that same year. Very fine and very rare, impressive 18K yellow gold, huntingcased, keyless, lever chronometer pocket watch with chronograph, instantaneous 30-minute register, pulsometer and cast and high-relief decorated case.

C. Four-body, "bassine", solid, polished, the front cover cast and chased in high relief with a scene of the aftermath of a battle, the Red Cross treating the wounded. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second divisions, outermost red pulsometer scale, 30 minute register at 12, subsidiary seconds at 6. Gold spade hands. M. Cal. R.A. 19/20???, frosted gilt, 25 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator, visible chronograph mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
