Notes

The supreme elegance of the Art Deco period had a great influence on horological design of the time. The style furnished some of the most innovative and audacious ideas ever put into practice by the Swiss horological industry for high-quality timepieces. It allowed a high-precision instrument to be transformed into an indispensable fashion accessory for today's man, making it a symbol of status and culture for those who appreciate attention to detail and image. The present model, like many others by Vacheron Constantin, perfectly exemplifies the mastery of the firm's artists, designers, and technicians. An identical watch is illustrated in ?The World of Vacheron Constantin?, page 351.
