Art-Deco Square Strut Dress Watch Vacheron & Constantin, Geneva, movement No. 3391273, case No. 255363, delivered in 1929. Elegant and very rare, thin, 18K white and yellow gold square Art-Deco keyless dress watch with concealed folding strut for use as a desk clock. Accompanied by a Vacheron & Constantin fitted box.
C. Square with curved corners, three-body, pendant and back in white gold, white gold band with hinged section forming a strut for use as a desk clock. D. Brushed silver, applied yellow gold cubiste upright Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold Breguet hands. M. Cal.15???, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed Vacheron & Constantin, movement also signed Merimont Watch Co. Dim. 42 x 42 mm.
