Vacheron & Constantin ? Early Waterproof Wristwatch Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 427340, case No. 268014/5454. Made in 1941 and sold in 1942. Very fine and rare, rectangular, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with a special waterproof glazed container for the movement, closing by two clips on top and bottom back.

c. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, movement container with gold bezel and metal body, elongated stepped sides forming curved lugs at their end. D. Two-tone silver with applied yellow gold Arabic numerals and baton indexes, subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold baton hands. M. Cal. 203, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 23 x 36 mm. Thickness 8 mm.
