Vacheron & Constantin Carriage Clock Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 239. Made in France, circa 1900. Fine, gilt brass, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock.
C. Multi-piece, "corniche", the sides and top glazed, hinged handle. D. Circular white enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, matte gilt mask. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Rectangular brass plates, going barrels for the going and striking trains, lateral lever escapement on a large matte gilt platform, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on a gong. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 13.3 x 9.7 x 8.4 cm. Property of a French Collector
