VACHERON & CONSTANTIN STERLING SILVER STRUT CLOCK HA. St, Geneve, made for Vacheron & Constantin, movement No. 400639, case No. 57358, British silver import hallmark for 1924. Fine and very rare, key-wind, 8-day going, sterling silver strut clock with painted porcelain panel.

Domed rectangular with hinged strut, reeded band, bow to the top with blue-bell highlights to the sides, acorn feet, the large front painted porcelain panel with a young maiden seated near a cliff on a bench next to a lyre, a peacock in the foreground. D. Rectangular, off-white enamel with blue fancy Arabic numerals, outer oval minutes. Stone-set hands. M. 19.41???, gilt, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, micro-regulator. Case signed and numbered, stamped with maker's mark GS, movement numbered and signed Vacheron & Constantin & Astral. Dim. 16.5 cm x 8.7 cm.
