Notes

The white gold cased Royal Chronometer is the rarest and most desirable of the Royal Chronometer wristwatches. The present watch is in exceptional condition with perfect dial. The contrast of the brushed silvered dial and the black indexes and Maltese Cross is particularly attractive. To date only three other examples in white gold have appeared at auction and only one other example with the diamond-set Maltese Cross is known to have been sold publicly. That watch was sold by Antiquorum, Hong Kong, April 23, 2006, lot 262.
