VACHERON CONSTANTIN STAINLESS STEEL WITH TWO-TONE DIAL Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, movement No. 443317, case No. 277908. Made circa 1940. Very fine and rare, stainless steel wristwatch with two-tone dial.
C. Three-body, polished and brushed, snap-on case back, straight curved lugs. D. Two-tone silvered with applied yellow gold Arabic numerals and baton indexes, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold baton hands. M. Cal. 453, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 33 mm. Thickness: 9 mm. Property of a Dutch collector
