Four-body, "bassine", polished, the front cover with engraved coat of arms and the motto "Esse Quam Videri". Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track with red 24-hour numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold halberd hands. Cal. 17 ½ ''', rhodium plated, 29 jewels, counterpoised and calibrated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan- neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
