Notes

According to the extract from the archives, the Vacheron skeletonised movement was delivered to Verger Freres who manufactured the case.
Many of some of the most beautiful Art Deco creations were entrusted to Verger Freres by Vacheron Constantin and some of the most decorative pocket watches and clocks were born from this collaboration. It is further nice to note that the Spanish original provenance is further confirmed as the bow is signed Marzo who is a well renowned Spanish jeweller who later set up shop in Paris around 1921 at Rue de la Paix and had further stores in Madrid, Havana and Biarritz where the Spanish Royal court were known to shop.
Never having appeared at auction before, this represents the best in terms of design and savoir-faire from the height of the Art Deco period.
