Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 444712, case No. 279573, circa 1925. Very fine and rare silver keyless deck watch with Guillaume balance made for the British Hydrographic Survey Department, accompanied by a fitted deck box.
C. Four-body, "bassine", polished, silver hinged cuvette.D. Silver, bolt Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, blued steel "spade" hands. M. 47 mm. (20'''), nickel, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Guillaume compensation balance with gold screws, special alloy Breguet balance spring, "swan-neck" micrometric regulator.
