Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 407563, made for Boucheron, Paris, circa 1929. An exceptional Art Deco, jasper, agate, gold, enamel and coral, 8-day going desk clock.
C. Large square piece of gray marble mounted between two nephrite panels decorated with gold straps with black enamel setting at the top, terminated with coral beads, gray agate beam at the base with gold straps fitted with coral, back with black enamel panel on gold with hinged door. D. Set directly on the central agate block, Arabic numerals on square gold cartouches, corners set with small coral beads, central abstract geometrical pattern of yellow, white, gold, and black enamel. Gold, geometrical hands with red enamel straps in the centers.M. Rectangular, 48 x 37 mm, frosted gilt, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance-spring.Signed on the movement, case signed by Boucheron.Dim. Height 15 cm, width 11 cm.
