Signed Vacheron à Genève, No. 659, case No. 21621, Neuchâtel hallmark. Produced circa 1820.Fine and very rare, quarter-repeating, 18K yellow gold watch with engraved case and dial. Accompanied by an axe-shaped winding key.
C. four-body, ?bassine?, solid, bezel with ?vermicelli? decoration, engine-turned band, case back with engraved scene of a garden party, hinged gilt cuvette. D. guilloché silver with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, center engraved with floral decoration. Pink gold ?Breguet? hands. M. 46 mm. (20'''), gilt brass, cylinder escapement, 8 jewels, three-arm steel balance, blued steel flat balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.Cuvette signed.Diam. 50 mm.
