Chronomètre Royal The trademark for the Chronomètre Royal was registered in 1907. This series of watches was made especially for the South American market, and in particular Brazil and Argentina. Their movements were generally of high quality, from 11''' to 22''', with 18 jewels, a gold screwed setting on the central wheel, an endstone for the escapement wheel and a sapphire endstone for the balance-wheel. They had a Breguet balance spring and swan-neck micrometer regulator. The cases were made in different sizes, shapes, thicknesses, and decorations, in 18K yellow gold or silver. The dials were in white enamel or guilloché silver, in 12 and 24 hours, with Roman or Arabic numerals. As for the wristwatches, they were made from the 1950s in 18K gold, with center seconds, punched with the Poinçons de Genève, and destined for various markets. They featured a special stop-watch system when setting the seconds hand, 19 jewels, a monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, antishock system, Breguet balance-spring and swan-neck micrometer regulator.
