Notes

The Vacheron Constantin Metiers d’Art, which took over 7 years to complete, was introduced and offered as a set of three with the models ‘Tsukimi’ and ‘Hanami’. By collaborating with Zôhiko, one of the most ancient Japanese lacquer manufactures based in Kyoto since 1661, the dial of this watch is created from a primitive craftsmanship called ‘maki-e’, which consists of sprinkling the black lacquer with silver or gold dust creating fascinating motifs.

This lot illustrates a beautiful winter motif, beautifully crafted in a limited series of 20 pieces. No doubt a truly exquisite expression of watchmaking. It is a magnificent piece of Japanese art.
