Notes

The Vacheron Constantin Metiers d’Art collection, which took over 7 years to complete, was introduced and offered as a set of three with the models ‘Tsukimi’ and ‘Yukimi’. By collaborating with Zôhiko, one of the most ancient Japanese lacquer manufactures based in Kyoto since 1661, the dial of this watch is created from a primitive craftsmanship called
‘maki-e’, which consists of sprinkling the black lacquer with silver or gold dust creating fascinating motifs.

This lot illustrates a typical Japanese seasonal phenomenon with the flowering of the cherry trees which symbolises epitome of renewal. The front dial presents the burgeoning flowers, while the back dial presents the gentle rustling of the willow leaves.
