VACHERON & CONSTANTIN REF. 4072 CHRONOGRAPH STEEL AND PINK GOLD Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 431449, case No. 273579, Ref. 4072. Made in 1943. Very fine and rare, stainless steel and 14K pink gold wristwatch with square button chronograph with an AW white gold buckle. Accompanied by a Vacheron fitted box and certificate of authenticity.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, snap-on case back, concave lugs. Silver with applied pink gold baton and roman indexes, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-second Arabic markers and pulsation scale. Stainless steel baton hands. Cal. V434, rhodium-plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, blued steel Breguet balance spring.
