VACHERON & CONSTANTIN REF. 4240 TRIPLE CALENDAR PINK GOLD Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 463968, case No. 307214, Ref. 4240. Made in 1948. Fine and rare, 18K pink gold wristwatch with triple date calendar, claw lugs. Accompanied by the extract from the archives and a later Vacheron box.

Two-body, polished, fluted band, claw lugs. Copper with applied pink gold roman numerals and triangular indexes, subsidiary seconds dial, outer graduation for the date in red, apertures for the days of the week and the months. Pink gold baton hands, blued steel date indicator hand with red arrow. Cal. 455V, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperatures, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator.
