Property of a Swiss collector. Introduced exclusively for the American market in 1921, it was available in 2 versions, made according to the Vacheron archives, in only 12 pieces each (for a vintage example of this model sold at Antiquorum, see The Art of Vacheron Constantin, Lot 126, April 3rd, 2005) Relaunched by the firm in 2008, the reedition was an almost identical copy to the original apart from the case size being more adapted to their current clients demands. This watch was custom ordered by one of the firms very good customers and he wanted a unique piece made that would have two distinct features: the first would be the case made of stainless steel and the second was that the dial configuration would be tilted to have the twelve o clock indication to the left, rather than under the crown like the current production model.
