Vacheron Constantin, Les Historiques “Jalousie” (Shutter/Concealed Dial) wristwatch, reference 91002/000R, circa 1997. A quintessential neo-vintage piece from the Historiques collection, which revives the Manufacture’s archival designswith refined execution. Featuring an 18K rose gold rectangular case, manual-winding Calibre 1017 (21 jewels) with small seconds, and the signature louvered gold shutter mechanism that slides open via a lever at 6 o’clock to reveal a silvered dial with gilt baton markers. Inspired by 1930s “Montre à Volets” models created with Verger Frères, it was produced in very limited numbers—only a few dozen examples per metal. Its rarity and innovative yet elegant complication make it a prized collector’s item among enthusiasts of Vacheron Constantin’s neo-vintage creations.
