VAUCHER FLEURIER PEARL & ENAMEL WATCH SILVER Vaucher, Fleurier, case No. 5464. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Very fine, and very rare, silver painted on enamel and pearl-set center-seconds pocket watch with Chinese duplex escapement. Accompanied by a box and key.

Three-body, Empire, reeded band, the back painted on enamel with a large flower bouquet on a blue ground, pearl-set bezels, pendant and bow. Glazed gilt- rimmed cover over the movement White enamel, radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with fifteen-minute/ seconds Arabic numerals. Blued steel hands. 47 mm. steel, polished "Chinese", standing barrel, duplex escapement, monometallic compensation balance, steel flat balance-spring, index regulator.
