A fine, 18K gold, agate and mother of pearl quartz table clock with octagonal polished agate body, circular bezel with yellow gold mount, raised on the back of a carved agate hippopotamus with cabochon eyes set in gold collets, rectangular base with gold border, carved base with block feet. Mother of pearl marquetry in a 12-pointed star pattern. Yellow gold baton hands with a cabochon ruby-set center. With quartz standardization. Case signed on a gold plaque on the back of the base.
