Notes

William Story, London
Watchmaker registered in Red Lion Street. He died in 1784. A musical clock by him is kept in the British Museum. We know also a gilded-metal and enamel coach-watch, with centre-seconds, made for the Chinese market (see: Antiquorum, Hong Kong, auction, June 2, 2007, lot 104, sold for the amount of HK$ 165 200.-).
