Born in 1962 in a province of China, Yue Minjun belongs to the third generation of artists after the Cultural Revolution. Yue Minjun's work always features uniform laughing faces. Very few artists in China today have managed to bring into existence an icon as compelling as the man with the symbolic smile found populating Yue Minjun's entire oeuvre. Each collection includes 20 original lithographs (120 x 80 cm) set in a brushed-aluminium case decorated by an original mural relief, signed and numbered 22/130 by the artist. The sculped box, signed and numbered can be displayed as a bas-relief. The works were printed in France, all prints are in limited edition, each piece is numbered and signed by the artist and accompanied by an original poem written by the renowned poet. It is a rare opportunity to have on hand completed collections such as the ones presented in this book.
