Notes

Georges Favre-Jacot was only 22 when he created the company Zenith in Le Locle, in 1865. The manufacture is well known for its chronographs. One of its most notable creation was the movement Zenith El Primero realised for the first time in 1969. Here the lot was produced years before this industrial breakthrough. The wristwatch features a calibre 136D which was one of the Martel calibres. The movement is 13’’’ (30 mm) in diameter which is one of the smallest calibres for a chronograph.
