Notes

Successor to the CP-1 supplied to the Italian military by BREITLING/LEONIDAS, the ZENITH CP-2 (CP standing for Cronometro da Polsa ie wrist chronometer) was produced, according to scholars, in approximately 2500 pieces. While some where assigned to the military (those bear the inscriptions ‘MM’ for Marina Militare, ‘EI’ for Escercito Italiano or ‘PS’ for Pubblica Sicurezza) such as this example, followed by a military assignment number; the rest were never assigned and sold to the general public. Coming in at an impressive 43 mm., this military assigned example has remained in very good condition, displaying a highly attractive faded bezel, and a near perfect dial that will appeal to all collectors of fine military timepieces.
