ZENITH ONYX BOULE DESK CLOCK Zenith, Le Locle, No. 78962. Made circa 1935. Fine and unusual, Algerian onyx, bezel-set and wound, eight-day going desk clock with power reserve indicator.
C. Bowed square turned base, semi-circular socket to fit the free-moving ball case. D. Matte silvered, with black Dauphine numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, aperture for power reserve indication. Black ?arrow? hands. M. 65 mm., copper colored, fausses côtes and oeil-de-perdrix decoration, going barrel, 11 jewels, straight line lever escapement on a separate platform, cut bimetallic compensation balance with screws, blued steel Breguet balance, index regulator, bezel winding and hand-setting. Dial, case and movement signed. DIM. 20.5 x 20.5 x 13 mm.
