Notes

In 2014, Zenith celebrated its 150th anniversary, the manufacturer created a complicated fusée chain novelty to name after and pay tribute to its founder Georges Favre-Jacot. The fusée chain mechanism is shown on the upper dial with the barrel between 10 and 11 o’clock and the fusée and chain located between 1 and 2 o’clock. This spectacular system is to regulate the force of the spring as it slows down. In short, technically, to serve accuracy by delivering consistent energy power. This significant invention was first employed in the early mechanical clocks, then was found in pocket watches. Certainly, a challenge to house a fusée chain mechanism within the geometry of a watch. Amazingly, this unique invention contains 575 parts within the watch diameter of 46mm. This gorgeous piece reveals the power reserve indicator between 3 o’clock to 5 o’clock, boasting constant force for every single beat from end to end. It is indeed an impressive true piece of horological mastery.
