GiIt brass 18"' movement, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the dial and the case. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm. Humberto 1 st, King of Italy from 1878 to 1900. He was born in Torino on March 14, 1844, the second son of Victorio Emanuele II. In 1868 he married his cousin Margherita and was murdered in Monza on July 29, 1900.

Invented by Frederic Houriet circa 1810 and described by him in a special advertisement , such thermometers were Iater produced by Urban Jurgensen, his son in law and by Breguet.

Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 58 mm. This is a fine example of a watch showing the influence of Breguet on the watchmakers of his time.

Fine gilt brass 24- three quarter plate movement with conical pillars, very similar to that used by Frederic Houriet for their pocket chronometers with or without a tourbillon regulator, the fusee with maintaining power, the barrel passing through the back plate, secured by a bridge, gold train of wheels, 13 jewels, spring detent escapement, Z bimetallic balance with trapezoïdal sliding weights and poising screws, blued steel spherical balance spring. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm. This chronometer incorporate many features such as the caliber, the spherical balance spring and the spring detent escapement,of the pieces produced by Frederic Houriet.

Very fine and heavy four body "bassine carrure ronde" engine tumed case, with rose diamond pavé pendant and bow, a large diamond set on top. Gold cuvette engraved with the principal technical features. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Fine giIt brass 24"' three quarter plate movement with conical pillars, very similar to that used by Frederic Houriet and Urban Jurgensen for their pocket chronometers set or not witht a tourbillon regulator, the fusee with a maintaining power, the barrel passing through the back plate, secured by a bridge, gold train of wheels, 12 jewels, spring detent escapement, Z bimetallic balance with trapezoïdal sliding weights and poising screws, now with blued steel helical balance spring (originally spherical). In very good condition. Diam. 61 mm. This watch was almost certainly made in Switzerland by Houriet, for export via France to the Middle East.
