The lid with four two-coloured gold small baskets of flowers chased in high relief over a matted ground, further foliage decoration on borders and around the singing bird aperture, the singing bird cover enamelled with a finely painted bunch of flowers over a pink flinque ground. D. Small white enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel hands. Gold dial-plate. M. Gilt brass with free standing going barrel, cylinder escapement with plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass continental cock. Unsigned, No. 103, attributable to Piguet & Capt, Geneva, circa 1810. Extremely rare and magnificent 18K gold and enamel, diamond-set quarter repeating, musical fan with automaton scene and built-in centre second watch.

Fan: The guards of blue flinque enamel within narrow white champleve enamelled borders and applied with rose-cut diamond-set ribbon and floral decoration, the lower enamel panels painted with flowers and doves, large rose-cut diamonds set at each end of the pivot. On the front guard, a small circular enamel panel painted with flowers, discloses the dial. A spring loaded rectangular lid on the rear guard discloses the painted enamel automaton scene of two children on a seesaw in a park to the music of their harpist mother. Lyre-shaped gold sticks, pierced and engraved with foliage, the paper leaf painted in colour with a scene featuring "L'Ecole d 'Athenes" after Raphael, the reverse with a spray of gilt bees. Dial: White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute and second ring. Blued steel "spade " hands. Watch movement: Gilt brass full plate, shaped to fit the guard of the fan, with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Repeating on two straight line gongs with slide in the side of the guard. Musical movement: Gilt brass full plate, also tapered to fit the other guard with pin-drum and six stacked steel blades, driving the automata by means of cams and levers, activated by opening the cover. Very fine and impressive, unique moon phase astronomical, world time, hour and half hour striking skeleton clock with centre seconds, triple calendar, sunrise and sunset indication. Supported by a musical stand. Accompanied by an original instruction leaflet published in 1812.

C. White marble base applied with a gilt bronze frieze featuring astronomer putties. The movement is supported by two gilt columns and flanked by two pyramids, each topped by a globe and by an armilary sphere and decorated by painted representations of the four seasons, below gilt bronze flower garlands, and applied above with white enamel plaques inscribed with the tables of sunrise and sunset for the 12 Gregorian months with pointers designed as gilt flies. A gilt bronze astronomer Cupid is seated on books between the pyramids and the Chariot of the sun at the top, flanked by allegorical figures of the Dawn and the Night. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals and outer minute and seconds ring. Gilt brass "serpent" hands. World-time revolving dial above, giving day and night hours, for 53 cities. Subsidiary dials below, for the dates, the months with the signs of the zodiac, the days of the week with indication of their planets. On the base of each pyramid, phases and age of the moon representation on the left, sunrise and sunset on the right, shown by means of the double mobile horizon. M. Fully skeletonised with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, Trapezoidal brass frame, pin-wheel escapement, half-second beating, gridiron compensation pendulum with spring suspension. All calendar and astronomical indication are driven by the striking train.
