Double body rectangular with canted corners, the lid with an enamel panel painted with a scene depicting the distress of Rodrigue after the duel during which Chimene's father was killed, left and right borders with interlaced foliage finely chased over a matted ground. The front enamel panel painted with a riverside landscape, the plain azure enamelled side and back panels and the enamel panel on the base painted with a fine riverside landscape are flanked by chased flowers against a polished ground with azure champleve enamelled decoration. Canted corners engraved with fluted coltunns over a white champleve enamel ground. Prestige French hallmarks. Dim. 89 x 63 x 19 mm.

Unsigned, French, circa 1795. "Virginie et le Bon Sauvage" Fine and very rare gilt and patinated bronze 8 day going, hour and half hour striking mantel clock depicting a scene from Paul et Virginie.

C. Rectangular base with bowed sides carrying the patinated bronze ground on which, beneath a lemon tree in green patinated bronze, a maiden exchanges entreaties and expostulations with a negro man kneeling before her. The scene is derived from an episode in the novel Paul et Virginie by Bernardin de St Pierre. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gilt brass chased hands. M. Brass circular with going barrels both for the going and the striking train, anchor escapement, pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Double body, designed as a heart, bezel and pendant set with rose-cut diamonds, fully enamelled, bezel and band with floral decoration, the back with a scene depicting the Madonna and Child with St. Elizabeth and the infant St. John the Baptist, after the painting by Giulio Romano, now in the Louvre, and an enamel inside with black and pink foliage against a white ground. Priest's Chalice, circa 1931.

Heavy 18K yellow gold chalice having an ivory decorated stern and a hexagonal-shaped base bordered with channel-set rubies, the apexes decorated with a flower head centrally set with a cabochon ruby; the front of the base is adorned with a cross centering an old European-cut diamond flanked on all sides by round diamonds alternating with baguette-cut diamonds, the borders set with square-cut rubies. Accompanied by an 18K yellow gold cover tray and stirrer, and original fitted leather box. Bottom engraved with: En temoignage de participation a l'oblation de notre fits, Paul, Monsieur et Madame Lints Momrnaerts 24 Mai, 1931 (In testimony of the participation of the Consecration of our son, Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Lints Mommaets, 24 May, 1931) and with the latin inscription Crucem ex annulo hranciscae Nerincx in memoriam parentes DD (The cruxifix was made with the Francesca Nerincx's ring and supplied by her parents in memoriam).
