Round porcelain vase with six panels painted with flower bouquets separated by gilt porcelain columns, three apertures for winding the clock, the singing bird movement, and changing the tunes, the front with foliate finial, six porcelain feet with gilt decoration, orange tree of paper pulp and painted fabric with white flowers and fruits, an animated bird perching on the top and two sitting among the branches, grass below of cut and painted paper.D. The Music Lesson Jaquet-Droz, Genève, box by Georges Reymond, made for the Chinese market, circa 1785. Very fine and extremely rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set oval singing bird box.

Three body, hinged, small compartment formed in the base, predominately translucent imperial blue enamel over engine-turning, champlevé enameled borders, four champlevé and gold vases on the band, singing bird aperture with split-pearl-set bezel. The cover of the box finely painted, depicting a lady and her daughter in a rose garden playing the serinette to teach a canary to sing.M. Oval, 81 x 50 mm, turned pillars, fusee with chain, circular bellows, the bird with moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by a stack of eight cams, bar-type regulator driven from a worm-gear with a safety clutch. Inner gilt protection grill, pierced and engraved with foliage. Punched with Reymond?s mark inside the lid and inside lower compartment.Dim. 88 x 58 x 34 mm.

The Duet Charles Abraham Bruguier, Geneva, No. 61, ebauche from Freres Rochat, circa 1840. Magnificent and highly important gilt bronze miniature singing bird cage with center-seconds petite son-nerie clock, the two birds singing on the hour or at will.

C. Octagonal base, side panels very finely chased with roses and scrolling, molded cornice and sub-base, clock in the front surrounded by a chiseled bezel, front panel with winding, setting, and regulating arbors, activation lever at the left edge. The cage, following the shape of the base, supported on four sets of two Corinthian columns, the cage itself formed of filigree gilt screens of geometrical and foliate pattern. The dome stands on a molded gilt base, matching the lower part, the eight panels of the dome formed of alternating segments of geometrical and foliate pierced panels, the gold cage floor pierced and engraved with scrolling and rosette in the center. Inside two nightingales rest on two gilt bars. Gilt ring handle mounted in gilt finial set in double leaf rosette, winged dragon feet.D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Singing bird movement: Octagonal, 93 x 80 mm, brass, fusee and chain, circular bellows, six-wheel train (including fusee), 3rd wheel arbor set with eight spring-loaded cams which make 4 revolutions per song - they mostly control the singing, the extension of its arbor is fixed with a set of four cams, 4-step cam at the top which changes the position of the cams at each turn. The top cams control the movements of the birds, 2-wing governor with adjustable weights set on a worm (endless) gear.Numbered and punched with fleur-de-lis marks on each plate. Dim. The Silver Bird Attributed to Blaise Bontems, Paris, circa 1880. Extremely rare silvered bronze free-standing singing bird automaton, turning its head and opening its beak as it sings.
