Axel de Fersen - Le Comte de, Général Major au service de la Suède (1755-1810).Highly important letter sent to Breguet on March 13, 1794 about a self-winding watch "de celles qui se remontent toutes seules, que vous avez faite je crois en 1784 ou 1785 pour la feu reine" (made in 1784 or 1785 for the late Queen Marie-Antoinette) and obviously given to him.2 letters, 3 pp. 1 drawing.

C. Fersen asks Breguet if it is possible to replace the watch's quarter-repeating perpetual movement with a minute-repeating one without the self-winding mechanism. A drawing of the case with its measurements is enclosed. He also inquires about the whereabouts of the watch worn by the "unfortunate" queen.Together with a second letter from Brussels, dated September 14, 1794, in which Fersen asks Breguet where the instructions must be sent and the best way to forward the watch.
