Created as a unique piece, this Double Tourbillon combines one of Arnold & Son’s most technically ambitious movements with an exceptional stone dial. The rich green jade forms the background of the composition, while contrasting opal sub-dials bring a softer, luminous character to the display. As natural materials, jade and opal possess individual variations in colour and structure, ensuring that the visual character of the dial cannot be precisely replicated.

The architecture is dominated by two independent tourbillons positioned symmetrically at 3 and 9 o’clock. Driven by the manually wound calibre A&S8513, each tourbillon is associated with its own time display, allowing two different time zones to be read independently. The two displays can therefore accommodate time zones differing not only by full hours, but also by 30 or 15-minute increments, considerably extending the practical versatility of the dual-time complication.
The symmetrical arrangement of the two tourbillons gives the watch a strong mechanical identity, while the polished 18K white gold case provides a restrained frame for the vivid green jade and opal dial. At 43 mm, its proportions allow the complexity of the movement and the natural materials to remain fully visible without compromising the balance of the design.

Combining twin independent tourbillons, dual-time functionality, precious natural materials and unique-piece status, the present watch represents a particularly elaborate expression of Arnold & Son’s contemporary complicated watchmaking.
