"Au Comte François Potocki" Breguet et fils, No. 3773, sold to Comte Francois Potocki on March 14th, 1822, for 2,400 francs, bought back and resold to Mme Dupaty on November 3rd 1829 for 2,400 francs . Very fine and extremely rare, platinum and yellow gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement. Accompanied by the original fitted box, spare rock crystal crystal, original certificate dated 3 November 1829 and a duplicate certificate dated 26 May 1971.
C. Four-body by Joly No. 2459, "savonnette forme quatre baguettes", yellow gold engine turned covers ?a grains d?orge?, platinum body with engine turned band. Gold cuvette. D. Matte silver, engine-turned, brushed chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, outer minute chapter with dot indexes. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. 44 mm., 20''', frosted gilt, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain threearm balance with parachute on the top pivot, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator via the cuvette with bimetallic temperature compensation curb repeating on two short circular section gongs with two hammers via plunge on the band. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 52 mm.
