Notes

History: Consigned by Breguet to Le Roy, his agent in Constantinople, on 1 March 1816, for 2800 Francs, and sold by him to Amil Bey for 4000 piastres. Provenance: In the collection of Mr. L.H. Dulles in 1954. Note: The movement of this watch is very similar to watch No. 2090 (lot 38). Although sent for sale to Le Roy in Constantinople, the case is of classic quatre baguettes form, unlike the majority of watches destined for the Islamic Market which were usually of pair case style with enamelled decoration. (For further information refer to lot 38).
