Important rectangular, magnetic, double body, ivory sundial. Complete in a leather fitted box. The equatorial dial is engraved on the upper inner face, with concentric revolving dial for the conversions, annual calendar and moon phase, nocturnal hour chapter ring graduated twice from 1 to 12, outer latitude ring. Analemmatic elyptical dial on the lower inner face, adjustable by means of a sliding pointer on the scale of the calendar set on the rear face of the tower part. When pointed toward the sun, the right time is geaven by the hand of the compass, when the calendar is turned in such a way, the index points to the date. The indications given by this sundial do not take into consideration the magnetic declination. In very good condition. Dim. 87 x 75 mm.
