Outer: two-body repoussé with Venus and Adonis, a Cupid with a horn leading the way for the hunt, Adonis holding his spear, his dog following on his heels, as Venus tries to retain him, four repoussé vignettes on the edge symbolizing the four seasons alternating with pierced and engraved decorations. Inner: two-body, "bassine", band pierced and engraved with stylized foliage, mask at 9 o'clock, gilt dust cap. D. Gold, champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabicarkers on polished oval cartouches, center chased with a shield. Blued steel "beetle and poker" hands. M. 37,7 mm, gilt full plate with turned baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass balance with flat balance spring, single-footed cock with diamond endstone, pierced and engraved with symmetrical stylized foliage, mask in the neck, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate, repeating on bell by depressing the pendant, à tact lever at 7 o'clock.Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 56 mm.
