Notes
Piaget
It was in La Côte-aux-Fées, a small village in the Swiss Jura, that
Georges-Edouard Piaget set up his first workshop in the family
farmhouse and devoted himself to producing high-precision
movements that he would supply to the most prestigious brands.
This was back in 1874, and Piaget?s activity developed extremely
quickly thereafter, in step with an ever-growing reputation. In
1943, the company took a decision that would prove crucial to its
future by registering its brand name.
Loyal to its pioneering spirit, Piaget launched into the
development and production of ultra-thin movements that
were to become a brand signature and would make an indelible
imprint on watchmaking history. In 1957, the Manufacture
presented the famous ultra-thin hand-wound Calibre 9P,
measuring just 2 mm thick; and in 1960, it introduced Calibre 12P,
the world?s thinnest automatic movement at just 2.3 mm thick.
For this fifth edition of Only Watch, Piaget has created a unique
timepiece based on its emblematic Altiplano Skeleton: the Piaget
Altiplano 38mm Only Watch Skeleton 1200S. To further enhance
its unique features; the case is also engraved with "Only Watch
2013-Piece Unique."
