The upper stage carried on six animal feet with applied decoration of quivers of arrows and formal leaves. Above and on either side of the movement, two putti play billiards on a table with Egyptianising legs. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals and inner calendar ring. Pierced and chased gilt brass hands. M. Brass rectangular three trains with going barrels, the going train with anchor escapement, short pendulum and silk suspension. Striking and repeating the quarters before the hours on gongs with independent trains. Musical train with a 98 mm. cylinder and a 80 tooth comb. Signed on the dial and music signed by A.C.I. C. The dock is contained in a barrel supported by the wings of a Cupid with enamelled eyes and the attributes of Bacchus, behind him is a basket of fruits and flowers. C. Designed as an enamelled terrestrial globe, gimbaled on a brass turned baluster stand. D. Arabic numerals on circular white enamel plaques applied on a gilt brass equatorial ring. Steel and gilt brass sun pointer. M. Eight day going circular movement within the globe with central going barrel, platform cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. The whole movement mounted around a central axis carrying at one end the single hand, at the other a counterweight which serves to maintain the globe inclined on its axis at 23 1/2° to the ecliptic, the globe and hour ring being driven around them. Gilt brass, plated, verge escapement, barrel placed at one end of the case, fusee at the other, the long length of gut fine between them serving to draw the index along the length of the hour scale, wheel train above fusee, pierced engraved visible bridge-type cock on top plate with floral decoration. Strauss Allard & Meyer, (Place Vendôme, Paris), made for Broudarge à Paris, circa 1925. Extremely fine and precious, 18 ct. gold and enamel, diamond-set amethyste and onyx, Art- Deco, eight day going timepiece, certainly made after a design of Verger. In original black leather fitted box.

C. Rectangular of blue enamel, the base of amethyst with onyx corners, the octagonal amethyst filial secured by two diamond-set enamel plates on a small onyx plaque. The spring loaded gold doors with a combination of different kinds of mother-ofpearl depicting a stylised Chinese landscape, two Chinese figures crossing a river on the foreground, diamond-set Chinese character applied on the top right corner, the reverse decorated en suite. By means of a diamond-set push piece, the doors may be opened to reveal the dial-plate which forms a triptych with the two doors. D. With applied diamond-set Arabic numerals. Diamond set " arrow" bands. M. Gilt brass rectangular with going barrel,straight line lever escapement, bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed above the dial and maker's master marks. Rectangular, the side panels with a combination of different kinds of mother-of-pearl in a floral design, the face with red lacquered Chinese numerals on border of the dial aperture, pink quartz cabochon and onyx set repeat button on the top. D. Very fine combination of different kinds of mother-of-pearl in a floral design and centred with a dromedary. M.
