Very unusual album with 40 unique hand-painted studies for painted and cloisonné enamel watch-dials.
Painted to scale in watercolors, the paintings represent designs for watch dials, mostly for wristwatches, one for a clock. The origins of some of the most lovely and interesting dials, by such makers as Patek Philippe, Rolex, or Vacheron Constantin, Omega, Tissot, I.W.C., Universal, Eska, and others, can be traced to this album, which apparently belonged to an artist who supplied watch companies with designs for their elaborate enamel dials.
