Two-body, covered with translucent scarlet enamel over fine flinqué with gold foliage on the soundboard, pearl-set sound-hole fitted with the watch dial, the back formed of 6 ribs in en suite enamel over a geometrical pattern, the front of the neck decorated with blue enamel frets, its head pink enamel with gold vase and gold stylized foliate decortion, gold knurled pegs, the front and the edge set with finely graduated split pearls on an applied gold frame.Gold twisted-rope strings, push-button at the edge of the soundboard to activate the music. Gold movement housing with gold and enamel hinged cuvette decorated with translucent imperial blue enamel flowers,with a music/silence lever. D. The Hunt. Attributed to Piguet & Capt, Geneva, case by "SN", made for the Chinese market, circa 1805. Magnificent and extremely rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set musical spyglass with concealed automaton scene and built-in watch, made for the Chinese market.

C. Fully operational spyglass with two concentric sliding cylinders, an eyepiece and lenses. The eyepiece and neck with a foliate pattern of blue, white and black champlevé enamel. The two cylinders are decorated with the same pattern of crosshatched azure and white enamel lines forming a geometrical pattern of black enamel and engraved gold rhomboids, the upper and lower edges set with half pearls. The inner cylinder can be rotated, revealing either the automaton or the watch. The automaton represents hunters on horseback revolving against an enameled panel depicting a house in the woods with an animated waterfall. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic markers. Gilt "cathedral" hands. M. 18.3 mm. (8 1/4'''), circular, gilt brass full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, 3-arm brass balance, continental gilt cock, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate. The Rosebud. Geneva, goldsmith's mark "SN", circa 1830. Exceptionally fine and rare small 18K gold and painted on enamel diamond- and pearl-set musical box, in the shape of a rosebud.

C. Three-body, the front and base lids very finely painted on enamel with a pink rosebud behind evergreen branches, green leaves at its base, the front panel set with diamonds and graduated half pearls, the back with pearls, the inside finely painted with musical instruments, an opened musical score and a rose. Opening the front lid reveals a small compartment, opening the spring-loaded bottom lid reveals the musical mechanism. The band with champlevé enamels forms geometrical and foliate patterns. M.
