Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1810 (Probably Moulinier, Bautte & Moynier). Extremely rare magnificent 18K gold and enamel pearl set watch in the form of a pistol with perfume sprinkler, in a later red morocco fitted case, with the original gold and enamel key.

The grip, of translucent red enamel over engine-turning, is set with split pearls on the border. The watch is concealed at the end of the burr, with a split pearl set cover. The gold plate is finely chased with a dog on one face, a rabbit on the reverse, each framed by split pearls. The barrel of blue enamel is decorated with paillonne designs simulating a damascene work. The perfume is spread through the pistils of a gold lotus flower with enamelled petals (very slightly restored), shooted out of the barrel, released by the percussion of the hammer, when the trigger is depressed. Piguet Meylan, Geneve, made for the Chinese market, circa 1815. Magnificent and extremely rare 18K gold and enamel pair of pearl set musical watches in the form of a roses, with automaton scenes and center seconds.

Double body shaped cases, enamelled overall with finely painted rose petals (slightly restored on one watch), split pearl set bands and pendants in the form of a stems, followed by split pearl paved leaves applied on the middle of the backs. Small offset white dials with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. Fine landscapes painted on the dial plates with on the fore-ground, below each dial, a four coloured gold chased automaton scene depicting a lady playing the mandolin, while a boy is playing the lyre. Fine gilt brass double train movements with a free standing barrel, inverted cylinder escapement with a brass escape wheel and a plain brass three armed balance. Extremely fine and important 18K gold double face keyless moon phase astronomical pocket chronometer with perpetual calender, the photocopies of the original certificate, the Geneva observatory certificate and the original receipt of the remittance issued to Mr. Ch. Prischa on 13/2/1885.

The movement is built on four different levels with on one side the perpetual calendar motion work set on a skeletonized plate allowing to see part of the striking train and the minute repeating work; the astronomical indication works and the equation of time kidney cam are set on the reverse of the going train level.
